One of the best things about going to an Asian country (apart from the food) is the crazy random things you see out and about. Below is some of the things we saw while in Hong Kong last week.
Spam Tram! Best advertising ever. I think spam is big in Asia – I recently learned that you can buy spam filled rice balls at 7-Eleven’s in Japan. That is just strange…canned corned beef on the other hand, that would be another story.
Among all the high end clothes shops and food places an unexpected pet store
Yes we totally went to ‘Rabbit Shop’ how could we not!
Best shop name ever? Ever time I saw it I felt compelled to say ‘Mi-so-coool’ in a Asian accent..hahaha
We stood in front of this sign for ages trying to figure out what this store sells. To me it sounds like some sort of exclusive ‘happy-ending’ massage place….turns out it was just a clothes shop.
I poked one of his green spikes when I walked past. A lady saw me and giggled.
Hysan Place (fancy department store) Christmas display – carousel with giant green horses – they are good to hug!
I am pretty sure this store sells air – it was a very fancy exclusive skin care looking store and they just had empty jars in the window. Lots of them.
All of this was part of a breakfast combo, I felt confused by the combined white and asian-ness of this. All of this including a drink was about $2AUD, cheap cheap!

Giant pink blow up flying pig….just because. I wanted to hug this one too but I resisted.
There are WAY TOO MANY things to comment on for this post.
1) Canned corned beef??? This needs further explanation
2) I HEART THE I HEART RABBIT STORE! (also, were there actually any baby rabbits there??)
3) those green horses look v huggable (not sure about the spiky thing or the giant pig butt though)
4) Why did you not buy me a jar of air as a souvenir?
5) HK breakfasts are bizarre looking, but I would definitely order one

5) YES! I could do with one of those breakfasts now!!
All the buses are beautiful on Hong Kong aren’t they – we were there recently and the double decker buses with their bright colours were fantastic.
