I had some pretty high expectations yesterday for our first day in Ibiza, and it was all even better than I could have dreamt. Yesterday was the best day ever and I am not sure if we can top it that!
We headed to the beach first thing in the morning and stumbled on a scooter rental so now we have a scooter for the next 4 days. The first beach we went to was nice and we ended up eating at the beach restaurant, it was a nice way to cool down after being in the sun. I am not used to this much sunshine in one go anymore.

After that we decided to try and find Atlantis – its a secret rock garden carving thing down by the sea, its secret because there are no signs. Surprisingly we found it! However the path takes you to the top of this mountain/cliff type thing, far away from the water. The only obvious solution is to climb down.
It took at least half an hour to climb down and I was wearing thongs – the most appropriate climbing shoes ever! I am just glad i wasn’t wearing a dress it would have been too ridiculous! The way down was interesting, rocks and then it turned into sand and then we had to climb over some really burning hot sand dunes and then volcanic rock.
It was all totally worth it, the sea is amazingly clear and blue and we found this little secluded cove which we had all to ourselves, it was totally amazing! We had to jump about 2m straight into the water, scary but so much fun and then we just floated around in the sea and enjoyed the view while we cooled down.
Climbing out of the water took a bit of work, volcanic rock is really sharp when you have no shoes on. And then we had to climb all the way back up the top, surprisingly easy compared to the way down!
We finished up the day watching the sunset over the island before giant amounts of food for dinner.

What will today hold?
